After the Reset

You know that feeling after you’ve hit reset, when everything’s a little quieter, and you’re not sure what comes next?
At first, I thought the reset was the finish line. Like, okay, I’ve rested, I’ve cleared things out… now let’s get back to it. But once the noise faded, I realized there’s this strange space that comes after, a pause that asks for patience.
I’ve been trying to just be in it. Some days it feels peaceful, like I can finally breathe again. Other days, it’s uncomfortable. My mind wants to plan, to do, to fill every moment with something productive. But my heart keeps saying, no, stay here a little longer.
So I’ve been listening. Taking slower mornings. Making meals without multitasking. Letting myself rest even when I don’t “need to.” Watching how the light moves through the room, noticing how my energy shifts with it.
It’s funny, I thought resetting meant starting fresh. But maybe it really means learning how to move differently once everything’s been cleared. Not rushing to rebuild, but letting things unfold in their own time.
If you’ve been through your own kind of reset lately, I hope you know it’s okay to linger here. You’re not falling behind, you’re finding a new rhythm. The kind that feels like you.
